Unlike other programs created by men or women who have not ever been through a divorce, I have been where you are today. I have experienced the fear you are feeling, not knowing what steps to take, or who to go for answers. “Steps To A Second Chance” is how I moved away from an unhealthy marriage and will give you all of the answers to forge a second chance path.
After surviving 20 years inside an unhealthy marriage with two children, I’m not hiding in fear but living in freedom and power. I'm here to share my story and steps to a second chance journey in hopes it champions you to take appropriate action inside your marriage.
You may be ready to jump back in the dating world or you don’t see it anywhere in your near future, either way, it is important that you take care of some important business first. These are steps that I believe are important to accomplish before dating after divorce....
Again, if you read my blogs you will know I am a words person and I get motivation from quotes, scripture, song, wherever I hear or read something. I read a quote on pinterest that said “Not forgiving is like drinking the poison and waiting for the other person to die”.
I stayed in the car and waited. After a few minutes he walked out with some flowers. Y’all, he had not planned any dinner and did not get anything for me for my birthday. We lived in a town that rolled up the streets when the sun went down, so the only place to eat was a place doing karaoke. Not only should this have been a big red flag for things to come, but it also was the start of my dislike of receiving flowers.
